She couldn’t hear me, but I felt it needed to be said. I shut the door, walked back to my car, and left. I was glad no one came out. I wanted her to die, and if someone saw it, the ambulance would come and try to save her. That bitch needed to die, and today was her day.

I drove around in my car, for what seemed like, hours after that shit happened with Paige. I didn’t know why I fucked Noel nor did I know why I didn’t apologize or run after Paige. I had so much shit going on; then, to hear this nigga, Mark, was talking some grimy shit, because I was with Paige. To make matters worse, I went outside and that nigga was up in her face asking her questions about me. I put my gun straight to the back of his dome. If it weren’t so many kids out there, I would’ve laid his ass out right there.
I had to go see what was up with that nigga. I parked in front of the abandoned house that we used to torture motherfuckers in, and Paige’s brother was standing outside smoking.
“What up, E?”
“Not much. What’s up? What happened with Mark? I got a call to meet here, and when I get here, they’re dragging my boy in.”
“Come inside. We’re about to both find out what’s up with his ass.” When we got inside, there were a few boys playing cards at the table, some playing the XBOX one, and then, there was Mark who was tied up to a chair.
“Yo’, untie his ass. There’s no need for that.” Mark looked up like he was shocked. I needed to know what his beef was with me since him and Eric had been riding with me for years; this was out-of-pocket for him.
“What up, Mark?” I said, taking a pull of a blunt that Eric passed me. He just nodded his head like he didn’t want to speak.
“Mark, come outside. Let me talk to you for a minute. Yo’, E, take this walk with us.” I knew that that shit was over his sister, so I wanted him to hear it.
“Mark, what’s going on with you? You been one of the most loyal niggas I know. I saw you at Paige’s family house, and you gave me the side eye, all night. Then, I come out of my mom’s house, and you all up in my girl’s face asking questions about me. Never mind the grimy talk I heard you been saying behind my back. Care to explain?” I knew that Eric had no idea by the way his mouth dropped when I asked him.
“Nothing man. Nah, fuck that. I’ve been in love with Paige since we were in middle school. She wouldn’t deal with me, because I chose this life, only to fuck with the most notorious street nigga out there. Yea, I’m salty as hell about that. As far as talking grimy, I aint never been a nigga to talk about another.
